Referees
SYSA is continually looking for quality referees to add to our pool. We offer recreational games almost every weekend from August 26th - November 4th. You will get a weekly email list of open games be able to select your games to officiate on a first come first serve basis. The beginning referee is Grade 9. It requires class attendance for one day and passing a written exam. You must be at least 12 years old to attend the class. As an incentive to get certified, SYSA will reimburse the $45 fee for a new referee to get certified once they referee 5 games with us during the year. Make good money, have some fun, ref with SYSA. After six months of experience as a Grade 9 referee, you may take a 1 day Bridge course and exam and upgrade to a Grade 8 referee which allows you to ref classic or rec. games.
